CSM Food Ministry Helps 2016 General Baptist Congress

Kids from Greater Shiloh at the Kid's Welcome Station

CSM was a part of the Host Committee to plan local pastors and churches involvement in the 2016 General Baptist Congress held last week at the BJCC. CSM was asked to serve the Community Service organization to organize youth from the Birmingham churches to serve other youth coming from around the country for the conference. CSM collected snacks from our partner organizations and got the local youth groups in the city to prepare and write messages on each bag for other youth coming to our city.

CSM delivered the snacks and supplies to a few local summer camps where the kids assembled all the bags. Then the youth wrote short messages of faith on each bag for the students attending the Congress. The goal was to get kids from the Birmingham churches to greet the Congress youth from all over the US. On registration day, around 40 students from Birmingham greeted and passed out bags all day to 500 student guests.

Also, CSM helped to supply resources for welcome gift bags shared with every adult attending the Congress during registration (approximately 5,000 units of resources.) CSM loves being a part of God's work through the Church. Congratulations to Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for hosting an amazing event!
